It's (almost) Sandal Season!

Today is officially the first day of Spring! And I am in serious celebration mode. Alongside the first blooms of the year, chirping birds and of course sunshine, the Spring season also brings with it the return of my favorite shoe, the sandal! It's (almost) Sandal season! And while it might be a little early for flip flops or strappy sandals, a few sandals definitely make the cut for early Spring.

A little bit heavier of a sandal, that can still handle the occasional rain drop or a bit of muddy grass, is a good spring go-to shoe. Think heavy sole, a bit of coverage and something that can possibly be even worn with socks, if you're down for that whole socks/sandals combo thing (which I have to admit I've been know to rock).

When picking out sandals I definitely strive for quality over quantity. I am currently in a mode of fewer, better things and since sandals are worn only a few months out of the year, I like to find ones that last at least a few seasons/years.

A few of my favorite spring go-to sandals that have found a permanent spot in my closet include my Arizona Birkenstock Sandals I purchased at the downtown Seattle Nordstrom flagship, 2 pairs of Pons Avarcas Classic Sandals c/o Moorea Seal (brown & black) and a pair of Chloe Sandals (similar) I found on major clearance at Nordstrom Rack in California years ago.

This Spring, I also have my eye on these Beaumont Woven Flats, Original Universal Tevas, Mayari Birkenstocks and these Stella McCartney Cutout Sandals, as possible closet additions. And as the days continue to get longer and the warm breezes of Summer appear and the weather warms up, my Rainbow Flip Flops and K Jacques St Tropez Sandals (similar) will also get added to the mix.
