If you follow me over on Instagram, you might have noticed a slight obsession I've had lately. Specifically, I'm absolutely loving the dreamy dresses of Ulla Johnson and consider them a closet must have. Including the dress featured in this post, I've also featured another favorite Ulla Johnson dress over on the 'gram that I wore pretty much everywhere during our recent honeymoon in Greece (honeymoon photos coming soon!)

I've even got a third Ulla Johnson dress I picked up at the recent Net-a-Porter sale I plan to wear next week to Fashion Week at The Bellevue Collection (photos of that dress also coming soon I promise, because it is just too beautiful. Hint: it's silk and gold!)

New York based Designer Ulla Johnson (born and raised in Manhattan) is one of those designers where everything she designs turns to a piece of clothing out of your dreams. Raised by archeologists, her style is inspired by the global travels of her childhood and the streets of New York she knows so well.

Beautiful prints, detailed embroideries, natural fibers and fine tailoring are what you can count on when adding a piece of Ulla Johnson to your closet. Think luxe bohemian, breezy yet refined, silk and cotton dresses that become instant closet classics.

Also, can we talk for just a second or two or 100 about the Ulla Johnson Spring 2019 Collection that just went down the runway at New York Fashion Week?! Seriously, I want everything! I love the message of connectivity and breaking down artificial boundaries through a patchwork of cultural references. The collection featured pieces by artisans from around the world, with craftsmanship at the core of the collection.

My bank account will pretty much make a run for the hills with how much I'm loving each piece of this collection as soon as it hits the rack (sorry Hubby!)

The Ulla Johnson dress I'm wearing in this post is from a past season and unfortunately sold out. I actually thrifted this gorgeous Ulla Johnson dress for a fraction of the cost on ThredUp, one of my favorite places for thrifting designer.

I had coveted this dress when I first saw it on the rack and long regretted not purchasing it. When I spotted it on ThredUp I knew it was finally destined to be mine. One of the many reasons I love thrifting is for finding designer pieces from past collections I regret not adding to my closet before they disappear to make way for new season's collections.

In addition to beautiful dresses, the Ulla Johnson namesake line also includes tops, skirts, denim, knits, pants, coats, shoes, handbags and accessories. (You can see an Ulla Johnson sweater I styled here!)

Here are a few Ulla Johnson pieces I am currently coveting and adding to my shopping cart as I type . . .
