Summatime!!! It is officially summer this weekend with summer
solstice this Friday, June 21! I am so excited for the start of the
sunshine season. Not only does summer equal sunshine and ice cream and
days at the beach and time spent outdoors, it also means summer
vacations!

Story of My Dress!
Last summer my husband S and I spent two weeks in the Greek Islands for our honeymoon and yes, it was incredible (stay tuned for travel guides!) This year we are staying closer to home for the summer with lots of Pacific Northwest adventures planned. Seriously, PNW is best in summer!
We've already been to Whidbey Island for wine tasting and the Gorge Amphitheater to see the Dead & Company. We have an end of summer trip to the Hood Canal on the books for our anniversary and we are currently in the midst of planning for the rest of June, July and August. Any suggestions? We are contemplating Mt. Rainier, the Washington Coast, another island visit to Whidbey (or another island or 2 or 3), the Painted Hills in Oregon, Portland (OR), and a few other fun spots!
Do you have any fun trips planned for summer? If so, you're in luck! I've rounded up some of my favorite items to add to your summer vacation packing list. From cotton voile tops, to gauze-y wide leg pants to leather sandals, each of this items is absolutely worthy of a summer vacation suitcase or weekender addition!

With summer, comes all the fun things! Last weekend my husband and I road-tripped to the Gorge Amphitheater (the most AMAZING live music venue) to see the Dead and Company (yay for festival season!) and had such a great time!
Along with summer festivals and live music, this sunshine season brings new store openings, fashion exhibitions, dining al fresco, outdoor adventures and so much more! I just love summer in Seattle!
Particularly on my radar going into this weekend and the next few weeks are the A Queen Within: Adorned Archetypes exhibition at MoPOP, Seattle Style Fashion/Function exhibit presented by Nordstrom at MOHAI Seattle, Glossier Popup on Capitol Hill and the new Allbirds store at University Village!
Here's all the fun things I'm looking forward to as we head into the beginning of summer . . .

This year I am all about basket, net, raffia, crochet and whimsical clutches, totes and shoulder bags for the summer season. Each with a bit of something special (a necessity in a summer bag!) and perfect for the beach, city strolling and/or island vacays, I've rounded up my favorite bags for summer at a variety of price points and styles.
Summer days call for summer bags!

We are now a few days into June, which means we're moving from spring
blossoms to summer sunshine! The past few months have brought cherry and
plum blossoms to our Seattle neighborhood, as well as beautiful flowers
and a slow increase in temperatures. With the sun setting now after
9pm, summer is truly in the air!

Tularosa Dress (sold out, similar) | Paseart Espadrilles Wedge Sandal (similar) | Bali Rattan Top Lid Shoulder Bag | Cole Haan Aviator Sunglasses
With spring blossoms giving way to summer sunshine, if you haven't already, it's time to break out the sundresses and summer sandals and bags! I was thrilled to find this dress by Tularosa on a recent thrifting adventure. Although it has long sleeves, it is lightweight cotton, with gorgeous embroidery and lace details, and a new favorite dress for the season.
Tularosa is known for it's refined vintage-inspired collection of romantic dresses, textural jackets and embroidered tops designed for the wild at heart. A beautiful modern bohème LA-based brand, Tularosa is one of my go-to's for summer.
For a recent neighborhood walk in Seattle, I styled my Tularosa Dress (sold out, similar) with a pair of Paseart Espadrilles Wedge Sandal (similar) from Spain, a Bali Rattan Top Lid Shoulder Bag and a pair of Cole Haan Aviator Sunglasses.
