When I think about holiday style, I tend to reach for red, gold and burgundy. There is something to be said, however, about a little green dress and an unexpected bag. Rarer than the little black dress (LBD) or little red dress, the little green dress can be just as eye catching!

Green is not a color I tend to to consider when adding items to my closet. It's not that I dislike the color, I, in fact, like it very much. As a lover of nature and one who is often more inspired by a green landscape over a concrete jungle, you would expect green to be a staple in my wardrobe. Somehow, however, it's a color I often overlook, but I have to say no longer.

From emerald to juniper to pear to pistachio, I am thinking 2019 might just be the year of green. 2018 saw neon green from the runway to the street and the other shades of green are ready for the spotlight!

The little green dress I am wearing in this post is by Reformation. It is not just green in color, but green in fabric and design. Manufactured in a closed-loop system, meaning all excess materials get reused, this is truly a "green" dress!

The Reformation Becca Wrap Midi Dress (c/o Farfetch) is made from Tencel, a biodegradable, renewable, sustainably harvested wood pulp, that is a semi synthetic fiber with properties almost identical to cotton. And while a traditional cotton tee uses 257 gallons of water to produce, a Tencel tee only uses 6!

Sourcing the most beautiful and sustainable fabrics, Reformation puts sustainability at the core of everything they do. From investing in green building infrastructure, to minimizing waste, water and energy footprints, and tracking their environmental footprint, Reformation also puts sustainability into practice.

Reformation's design mission "is to make effortless silhouettes that celebrate the feminine figure." With beautifully designed and sustainable clothing, Reformation is a brand that will continue to be added to my shopping cart and that I can put my dollar behind.

With a faint 70s vibe, the Cult Gaia Cupola Clutch (c/o Farfetch) is another holiday season favorite. I've been eyeing Cult Gaia bags for awhile now and adore the beautiful heirloom pieces of this line. Created in 2012 by Jasmin Larian, Cult Gaia pieces are meant to live in your closet forever.

Inspired by women and nature, "the cornerstone of Cult Gaia's DNA has been forged with the ideal of creating Objets d' Art that make you look twice."

Rendered in classic natural bamboo, with an architectural dome shaped design, and collapsible handles, the Cult Gaia Cupola Clutch (c/o Farfetch) is an iconic bag that will live definitely live in my closet forever.

It might be a bag more often associated with spring or summer days, but I love the unexpectedness of showing up to a holiday party with the Cult Gaia Cupola Clutch (c/o Farfetch) on my arm, alongside strings of vintage pearl necklaces, a classic pair of black heels, a camel hair coat and a little green dress!

Happy Holidays!

xoxo
