How to Transition the Off-the-Shoulder to Fall

Friday, September 2, 2016

If you're like me, you've been living in off-the-shoulder dresses all summer long. Now that fall is in the air, I am definitely not ready to pack them away or delegate to the back of my closet. Instead, I am all about finding ways to transition my off-the-shoulder dresses to fall, like this All About Lace Shift Dress from TOBI.

In the early months of fall, this perfect color of blue dress will be just fine on it's own paired with a pair of heels and cross-body bag for a date night in the City. As the weather begins to cool, I plan to style this dress with a pair of leggings, boots and clutch for harvest farmers market visits and walks in the neighborhood as the leaves begin to fall. It will also work perfectly over a pair of denim (so loving the dresses over denim/pants trend!), think 70s with flares, clogs and a floppy hat.

I just adore the details and pattern of this particular off-the-shoulder All about Lace Shift Dress from TOBI. I've shared my love for and the story of TOBI before (and as promised this is the second of three TOBI collaboration posts, so stay tuned for more!). Oh and new customers get 50% their first order  from TOBI, just an FYI!

For a late-summer (but it sure does feel like fall!) afternoon in the Capitol Hill neighborhood of Seattle, I styled the All About Lace Shift Dress c/o Tobi with opened toed heels from Michael Kors, a Handbag from the 3.1 Phillip Lim x Target collaboration, and Tag Earrings c/o Lucia K. Jewelry.

I just adore my Tag Earrings in gold, handmade and made to order by Lucia K Jewelry in Seattle, Washington! Use code STORYOFMYDRESS20 and get 20% off your purchase of Lucia K. Jewelry through September 15, 2016!

Hello Fall Fashion! How will you transition your wardrobe to Autumn? Would love to hear any tips for keeping your Summer closet favorites around for another season!
