The Bride's Guide: 6 Essential Items to Prepare for Your Wedding Day

Well hello 3 month countdown to our Wedding Day! Things are getting seriously real over here in terms of wedding planning. S & I visited Whidbey Island a couple weekends ago (where I grew up and where we are getting married!) and found some great recommendations for our guests for lodging, dining and spending time on the island for our big day!

As much fun as we are having, I'm not gonna lie, wedding planning has been and continues to be a bit stressful. From our guest list, to dress shopping, to the food, to choosing our venue, it was hard to know where to start. With a vision in mind for the perfect day, I've partnered with Babble Box to share a list of 6 items to help things go a little smoother and to prepare any bride for her wedding day . . .

The Bride's Guide: 6 Essential Items to Prepare for Your Wedding Day

1. Badgley Mischka Bridal Footwear and JEWEL line

Got the wedding dress? Don't forget the footwear/shoes! In choosing shoes for your big day, some thing to consider include type of venue, the style of your dress, your budget and of course your own personal style.

I am just adoring the Dawn D'Orsay peep toe by Badgley Mischka. The ankle strap means added support on my big day and the stunning crystal back ornament and detail are just exquisite. I mean, this shoe is just so pretty! Also, how amazing are the Caroline metallic silver kitten heel sandal with crystal ankle and toe strap from the Jewel line by Badgley Mischka?! These kitten heels are a perfect alternative to a traditional pump and the crystal detailing are a favorite over here.

Hailed by Vogue as one of the "Top 10 American Designers", Mark Badgley and James Mischka have been designing glamorous, stylish and wearable evening wear and accessories since 1988.  Check out the entire line of Badgley Mischka Bridal Footwear HERE and the entire JEWEL by Badgley Mischka line HERE.

2. Hanky Panky

I have been a huge fan of Hanky Panky Thongs - the world's most comfortable thong! - for as long as I can remember and I can't imagine wearing anything else under my dress on my wedding day.

In 1977, designer Gale Epstein created a handmade lingerie set for a friend crafted out of embroidered handkerchiefs; the original designs wowed retailers and industry experts and were the inspiration for the company name ~ Hanky Panky. Made in the USA, Hanky Panky's revolutionary and flattering V-front, V-back waistband has been their signature design for over 25 years.

The Mrs. Low Rise Thong from the Hanky Panky Bridal Collection is that little bit of lovely lingerie essential for your big day. I love the little blue rhinestones spelling out Mrs., the perfect addition of that something blue and a reminder of your special day and new title (Mrs.!). The one size thong in Hanky Panky's signature stretch lace sits lower on the hips, best fits sizes 2-12 and provides No Visible Panty Line (VPL), yes!

3. Crane Stationary: William Arthur Wedding Collection - The Studio Collection

First impressions are everything, and the introduction to your Big Day is no exception ~ no pressure! Choosing the right wedding invitation set does so much more than give your guests the vital information they need to attend: it sets the tone for the wedding itself.

S and I are currently in the process of choosing and ordering our Invitations and all the items and little details that go along with, such as RSVP cards and Rehearsal Dinner Invites, and making sure all our guest addresses are up to date. We want the invitations we choose to reflect the personality of our ceremony and reception. Because at the heart of it, our wedding invitations are a statement of who we are as a couple.

In the build-up to one of the most important days of your life, sending perfectly-pitched invitations is a chance to express your joint style and character ~ the essence of what makes your partnership unique. The new Studio Collection from the William Arthur Wedding Collection is a series of sixteen impeccable wedding stationary suites that include all you need for your big day, including Save the Dates, Invitations, Reply Cards, Monogrammed Stationary, and more.

The samples of these elegant wedding invitations I received showcased innovative, distinctive styles with calligraphic fonts for a hand lettered look, rich textiles and a warm color palette ~ J'adore these luxury wedding invitations! I am particularly fond of the Cityscape Suite. If we were getting married in the City, I would choose these in a heart beat! And the Rose Gold Suite is simply elegant, romantic and refined perfect for representing a day you will treasure forever!

Choosing wedding invitations can be seriously overwhelming with all of the choices available; and to be completely honest one of our toughest choices to make as an engaged couple so far. Visiting a retailer allow you to explore customization options fully, and see and feel the difference exceptional quality of papers and craftsmanship make in setting the tone for your wedding.

5. Algenist: Makeup Setting Spray

Concerned about your makeup lasting throughout the ceremony and reception? A makeup setting spray is a necessary addition to your bridal emergency kit and/or makeup kit. I am loving the Algenist Makeup Setting Spray for keeping my makeup in place all night long.

A weightless, hydrating serum in a mist, the Algenist Makeup Setting Spray instantly cools and refreshes your complexion, locks in moisture and sets makeup for longer wear. Mineral-enriched sea water and sea fruit extract combine with Algalyte Complex to intensely hydrate and lock in moisture for a more youthful looking complexion.

It's super easy to use, just hold the bottle 6-8 inches from face, close your eyes and spray in a Z formation across the forehead, across the face diagonally, followed by a spray across the lower face. Reapply as desired/needed, using only as directed.

A unique polysaccharide blend helps form a protective seamless layer to hydrate and set makeup. For visibly, refreshed skin and longer-lasting makeup on your wedding day, this setting spray is a perfect mist for after makeup application or anytime hydration and refreshment are needed. Skin is visibly replenished and radiant and you are photo ready!
