How I Keep My Hair Looking Fresh and Healthy Everyday in 3 Easy Steps

How I Keep My Hair Looking Fresh and Healthy Everyday in 3 Easy Steps

I have long, thick frizzy hair that is constantly a hassle in the morning. I am always on the lookout for ways to make my hair care and beauty routine easier and more effective, because as much as my hair is a hassle, it's also one of my favorite traits and I'm definitely not ready for the cut. I've partnered with Satin-lined Caps by Grace Eleyae to share how I keep my hair looking healthy in 3 easy steps.

How I Keep My Hair Looking Fresh and Healthy Everyday in 3 Easy Steps

1. Wash Hair Less Often
I tend to only wash my hair or get a blowout at a drybar 1-2x a week. I find that the age-old habit of washing daily causes my hair to dry out quickly and take up a ridiculous amount of time. Not only does washing less maintain moisture in my hair, it also saves me time for other important things I've got going on as a #girlboss!

2. Dry Hair Naturally
Once I've washed and conditioned my hair, I will let my hair dry for an hour naturally before utilizing any hot tools. After it's dried most of the way I'll blow dry my hair to get the last bit of moisture out and follow up with a flat iron or curling iron depending on my mood. Hot tool use causes a tremendous amount of damage to my hair and by limiting use I reduce the damage and keep it looking healthy.

On hot summer days when the humidity is out of control or on days when it is pouring in Seattle I just let my hair do it's thing and dry completely naturally. I took up the hairdryer/hot tools diet sometime in college and I am loving the occasional return of my hair to it's natural state (something that has been trending on the fashion runways too).

3. Wear a satin-lined cap day and night
To reduce frizz and breakage while sleeping, I twist my hair up in a bun and cover it with a Grace Eleyae satin-lined cap (when I wake, I just take off the cap, undo the bun and shake loose my hair).  Satin-lined Caps by Grace Eleyae are stylish caps that keep hair moisturized, protected and knot-free while sleeping, and stay in place day or night, thanks to each cap’s elastic band.

You can wear them to sleep as a protective barrier between your hair and harsh materials, and/or you can wear them out and about as a cute cap that of course, is a protective barrier between your hair and harsh outside materials. The perfect lightweight summer beanie!

The Slap (Satin-Lined Cap) by Grace Eleyae prevents bed-head and unnecessary breakage. They save time and money, by keeping your hair style much longer. They are also great for a protective style that keeps you looking amazing for those "get up and go" days. Say goodbye to unnecessary breakage and frizz; keep your hair moisturized and silky smooth with the Satin-Lined Cap.

  2. Coconut oil, West Indian bay, rosemary and chamomile are some of the natural oils that help in hair growth. Oils also help in black hair care. A natural conditioner for black hair is rosemary. There are oils that prevent hair loss. Lavender oil is one such example.har vokse side effects
