Red Carpet Beauty with Charlotte Tilbury

Makeup artist to the stars, Charlotte Tilbury "believes everyone, not just celebrities, should have access to beauty." On a recent visit to Seattle, to celebrate her long standing partnership with Nordstrom, I had the opportunity to attend an intimate meet-and-greet at the Nordstrom Seattle Flagship with other local influencers and editors to learn red carpet beauty tips from one of the most renowned makeup artists in the world, THE Charlotte Tilbury!

At the age of 13, Charlotte knew she wanted to be a makeup artist and two and a half years ago she launched her own line after receiving numerous requests for her secret cream, a blend of products she insisted on using before applying any makeup to celebrities. Renamed "magic cream" and the first product from her line to launch, it is now always on demand. "If you want to create a beautiful painting you have to have a beautiful canvas". Magic cream is that canvas! And let me tell you, I am already addicted to this amazing cream, because, yes, the swag bag from this event was epic!

Similar to your daily outfit changes, Charlotte believes you should change up your look depending on your mood. She created a "makeup wardrobe" of different looks, named after icons such as Gwyneth Paltrow and Grace Kelly. Each look comes with instructions on what-goes-where to keep it easy and simple for all women, again not just celebrities who have makeup artists hanging around, to look and feel gorgeous! My current favorite is the Golden Goddess Set!

Charlotte wants to help you "look like the most beautiful version of yourself" and help enhance your natural beauty. She feels it should feel safe to play with makeup and you should "feel empowered when you go to do a smokey eye". As someone who tends towards more natural makeup, this definitely inspired me to want to play around more, bring on that smokey eye!
