Hello Fall! This time of year is one of my favorites. I just love the season of beautiful changing colored leaves, sunshine, crisp air, apple picking, cider donuts and pumpkin spice! It also means it's time for fall fashion and boots, coats and sweater weather. Bring on the layers!
Over the weekend, I visited my favorite local thrift store, Value Village™, to update my fall wardrobe with some budget friendly finds. Value Village has a few different brands, so depending on where you live, you might also know them as Savers® or Unique® Thrift. All are fabulous for scoring some thrift treasures!
Since high school, I have been thrifting at Value Village for their great value and selection. From Abercrombie pants in high school to Patagonia fleeces in college to vintage in my 20's, Value Village has always been my go-to place to shop for unique, fashionable, high quality, customizable and budget friendly clothing at a price point my bank account doesn't cry over. This season, Value Village is my go-to for fall fashion trends!
With over 100,000 items on the sales floor and thousands of quality items arriving daily, I can pretty much guarantee I'll score some great deals from their amazing selection. Seriously, there are incredible deals, unique finds and treasures at every turn!
Want to score some of your own fall fashion finds from Value Village?! I am so excited to offer you the chance to win a $50 gift card to Savers Value Village to go shopping for some your own fall fashion treasures (all the details and enter to win at the end of this post!)
When I thrifted at my local Value Village over the weekend, I was particularly looking for a new Fall coat. I was so excited to discover the coat I chose was only $8.99! I've been seeking a brown shearling coat with faux fur and toggles for as long as I can remember. I mean, how can you beat less than $10 for a coat in like new condition?! I plan to channel Penny Lane Almost Famous vibes all season long with this coat.
While my coat was less than 10 bucks, which I was pretty excited about, most items at Value Village are actually under $7! That's basically the cost of a cup of coffee these days. For only $4.99 I scored a pair of vintage denim from the men's section. Vintage denim in the men's department is a thrifting secret!
I love Value Village for quality designer label and name brand clothing at a fraction of the cost! One of my favorite thrifting finds over the weekend was a Madewell velvet mock-neck top. For only $8.99, this top will be on repeat all autumn. Tucked into denim, styled over long sleeves and worn with a skirt, the possibilities are endless. Turtlenecks and mock necks are so on trend for fall and I love any style that promises to keep me comfy and warm.
Accessorizes are also always on my mind when I thrift. I pretty much always look through the jewelry, scarves, hats and sunglasses for one of a kind finds and treasures. Lately I have been all about shell jewelry and I was so happy to find a beautiful pair of vintage shell earrings for only $1.99. For only 99 cents I also got a pair of classic J. Crew sunglasses!
Perhaps, though, my favorite find of my fall fashion thrifting adventure was a vintage rattan bag reminiscent of Parisian cafés and long days spent people watching and sipping cappuccinos in the City of Light. Sitting on the rack, just waiting for me (or at least how I like to imagine it), this beautiful bag was my final and my favorite find of the ultimate treasure hunt at my local Value Village. And I got it for only $4.99!
For less than $30, I scored a pair of vintage denim, a Madewell velvet mock-neck top, a pair of vintage shell earrings, J. Crew sunglasses and a vintage rattan bag. What's even better though, is that as a member of the Super Savers Club, I saved even more! I had a reward available for 20% off and thus ended up with a grand total of $24 for a whole lot of fabulous fall fashion. Any customer can join the Super Savers Club (it's free!) and save even more!
Want to go on your own fall fashion treasure hunt and find the find?! It's now time for the giveaway and your chance to win a $50 Savers gift card (good at Savers, Value Village or Unique Thrift!)

Great story - gets my blood going. I too had a great thrifting shop last week...scored a beautiful rich blue Gore Tex REI jacket for $10! And a perfectly good red turtleneck cotton shirt for $5. More treasures too, very satisfying. Thanks for encouraging thrifting - good for the pocketbook, and good for the planet!
ReplyDeleteI love that thrifting helps save money and help find a home for items that people don't want anymore.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE thrifting! I am short but have lots of luck finding short jeans and work pants. I also like it for finding cool pea coats.
ReplyDeleteI go to Value Village all the time. I just got a pair of CrewCuts jeans for my son for $4!

ReplyDeleteI love thrifting because it saves money and I can get styles that I wouldn't normally wear but would like to try.
ReplyDeleteI love thrifting we have done it for 50 years and still enjoy it. We always find wonderful items to wear or decorate with.
ReplyDeleteYes, I found a very nice purse and it is my favorite color.
ReplyDeleteValue Village is the BEST!!! My SO & I love going, & we've found so many great finds! One of our best finds was a countertop oven for $3.99 that outperforms the super expensive one his parents have in terms of temperature consistency & baking evenness! We also found a great wok there. Another time I found an gorgeous vintage sequin covered clutch that was under $5. That's just the tip of the iceberg too. :D Absolutely love the vintage rattan bag you got!
ReplyDeleteBiker shorts and bumbags were the big news for the nineties revival look in the spring. Donna Karan brought back the eighties bodysuit is a stunning fashion trendsetting way to mark 25 years in fashion. Festival chic style makes dressing up and staying cool a cinch for the London fashionistas this year.https://www.luxtime.su/chanel-bag
