I was recently invited by Eye Eye Care to stop by for a comprehensive eye exam and new pair of frames and the experience was fantastic! If you are in the market for a new pair of glasses or shades you are going to want to make an appointment at this Seattle eye clinic and optical shop asap.
A glasses wearer since 5th grade, I have gone through many trials and tribulations related to wearing glasses and my nearsightedness. I remember in my middle school years begging my Dad to get contacts (and finally permitted to in 8th grade) and never feeling like the pair of glasses I was given to wear or chose really suited me. Maybe you can relate?
I have also always dreaded going to the eye doctor. Between dilation and the puff test, that was enough to give me anxiety for a week leading up to my visit. But that all changed the moment I stepped foot in Eye Eye Care! Eye Eye Care is the first eye doctor I've visited where I felt calm the minute I opened the door (and really even spotted the storefront).
Located in the Capitol Hill neighborhood of Seattle, Eye Eye Care
is so different! The space is beautiful, light and bright, the staff
super calming and they have the best selection of frames, including a
drawer of vintage. There's also no puff test! Both an eye clinic and
optical shop, Eye Eye Care provides personalized
eye care and a perfectly curated selection of independent eye wear.
First
up on my visit to Eye Eye Care was my comprehensive eye exam with Dr.
Will Pentecost, who actually started Eye Eye Care. It was so relaxed and
easy, I almost forgot I was at the eye doctor! He even had
recommendations for new contacts that might better suit me and gave me a
trial pair to wear home.
Next up was choosing a new
pair of frames! Eye Eye Care offers a unique range of eyeglass frames,
including independent designers, vintage dead stock, sunglasses, sports,
kids and small faces frames. It's seriously such an amazing selection
and even if you don't need glasses, the sunglasses are worth stopping by
to check out.
Dr. Will Pentecost and the other Eye Eye
Care staff gave me personal recommendations on what would best fit my
face, personal style and prescription to help me choose the perfect pair
of frames. They even opened up drawers and pulled out ones that were
not on view.
After choosing 8-10 possibilities we
narrowed down the selection to 5. It was seriously so hard to choose
because there were so many great options. I finally settled on a pair of
Garrett Leight California Linnie Eye Glasses and they are my new
favorite! A classic smaller rounded aviator style, these are a pair of
glasses I finally want to wear all day, every day instead of just at
night at home!
I am so happy to have found Eye Eye Care
and am honestly looking forward to my next eye exam and visit! A big
yes to no more eye doctor anxiety. Another big yes to an amazing
selection of independent designer and vintage dead stock eyeglass
frames. Thank you so much Eye Eye Care and see you again soon!
