While I was living in the San Francisco Bay Area, prior to Seattle, I stumbled upon the brand Everlane. Immediately I knew this was a brand to watch and that they were doing something pretty cool and pretty different through a concept called radical transparency: ethical factories, exceptional quality and affordable prices.

With my educational and professional background in environmental studies and social work, I am deeply committed to shopping sustainably and ethically. I was so happy to have finally found a brand that matched my values.

At Everlane they want the the right choice to be as easy as putting on a great t-shirt. That's why they partner with the best, ethical factories around the world, source only the finest ingredients and share the product story with you, including the true cost of every product made. It's a new way of doing things and they call it radical transparency. I say, finally!

Everlane Factories: Their Ethical Approach

Everlane spends months finding the best factories around the world (the same ones, in fact producing your favorite designer labels). They visit their factories often and build strong relationships with the owners. Each factory is given a compliance audit to evaluate for fair wages, reasonable hours, and  the environment, with a goal of 90 above for each factory.

Everlane seeks the best factories from around the world to make their products, because every factory has a story: https://www.everlane.com/factories

Everlane Quality: Designed to Last

Everlane is not big on trends. Instead they want you to wear their pieces for years, even decades to come. Think closet favorite now and closet favorite 10 years from now. That's why they source only the finest materials and factories for their timeless products— like Grade-A cashmere sweaters, Italian crafted shoes, Japanese denim and Peruvian Pima tees.

And I can absolutely tell you that my Everlane Japanese GoWeave Long Slip Dress (c/o), Relaxed Silk Shirt (c/o) and Street Sandals (c/o) have definitely found forever places in my closet. All of these pieces are perfect for everyday, perfect for travel and made to last for years.

Everlane Prices: Radically Transparent

Everlane believes their customers have a right to know how much their clothes cost to make. They reveal the true costs behind all of their products—from materials to labor to transportation—and then offer
them to you, minus the traditional retail markup. Finally!

With tees for $20, denim for $68 and cashmere for $100, and all made in ethical factories of the best materials, Everlane is no longer one to just watch, but one to absolutely adore!

  1. Black is my all time favorite color. Whenever I got confused in colors, the easy option is black. I just loved the style as it's really inspiring ad quite funky. Even I have a huge collection of casual dresses for women which are fabulous for all kind of style and occasion.
